PostSubject: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyMon May 21, 2012 6:48 pm

He casually stepped down the dock, slowly looking from left to right at the people selling their wares. Lux's favorite place was the dock, but he'd always had a quarrel with the sea. Take me from here, he always thought, or, maybe they'll let me on a ship! He started up an obnoxious whistle, carrying a tune that would most usually be heard on an ice cream truck. Hands in his pockets, he tried to relax his shoulders on his search for his next thing to steal; lunch. Daniel- I mean, Lux, would sometimes glance down at the Oshawott pattering behind him. It had the habit of passing its scalchop from one little paw to the other as it too scanned for things to steal. Lux grimaced as the sea cast a wind almost as obnoxious as himself, teasing him. Come join me, Daniel... Oh, wait, you can't! Lux almost sighed out loud; the sea was such a troll.
"Sha," The Oshawott rasped from down below.
"Yeah, Vorpal?" Lux asked him, stopping in his tracks. He looked down to see the Pokemon pointing its scalchop at a basket not to far away. Lux quickly glanced at what was inside the basket; loads of oran berries. Lunch. Currently, there was no one guarding the basket.
"Alright, little bro. You know what to do."

A skilled hunter can always tell when its prey has become the target of another. The boy's staring eyes were pratically him licking his chops. And if his body langauge was any sign of it, this would be a breeze. Flicking a few strands of hair out of her eyes, Violette commanded cheerily, "Take the water, Fleur." The pissed off looking Snivy glanced up, quickly following her Trainer's line of sight. She grinned that famous Snivy grin and slunk silently over the side of the dock. She headed towards the would-be thief with certainty as her partner in crime took to the waves.

Vi plastered on a cutesy grin, relaxed his posture, and did that girly shuffle-like run over to the Oshawott making his advance. She bent down in front of him, effectively hiding the basket behind her, and cooned, "Oh, what a darling Oshawott!" She looked up at the hungry-eyed boy through her eyelashes, batting them flirtaciously. "Is he yours?" she asked sweetly, going for the double distraction.

In the ocean a streamlined body wiggled through the salty concontion, her pointed snout and broad tail bending the water to her will. Slowly, her head peaked over the water, breathing in the equally salty air. The berry laden basket sat tauntingly near the edge, just waiting to be snatched. Cautiously, she advanced one of her vines, snaking it through the air toward the prize. She hesitated behind it, stopping to listen to make Vi was in place. She stopped herself from snickering at the tone she had adopted. The end of the continued its hunt, quietly wrapping around the wicker handle. Oh so carefully, she lifted the basket up a few inches, just enough to clear the dock. Didn't want any noises to alert the competition or the owner, or anyone else for that matter.

Vorpal had just been about to make use of that great scalchop of his when- ohshit some random chick decided to rush over and ruin everything. Lux had to adjust to the situation for a second. What the fuuuuuuu-...? No one had ever done this. No one had ever talked to him since he'd been kicked out.

"What." Lux snapped, startled. He lifted a hand to his head, trying to make heads or tails of the situation. Vorpal seemed quite surprised, too, and it suddenly occured to Lux that Vorpal might not have even met another human before. Right in front of the basket. Seriously?

Blondes.

PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyMon May 21, 2012 8:15 pm

His flat nose twitched repeatedly, snorting and sniffing, with it pointed to the ground. His nose hovered mere millimeters from the ground, taking in every scent it picked up. From a stranger's point of view, the small pig was alone. A stray, wandering around in search of a meal. The sphere tip of his spiraled tail bounced up and down as he went, his strides more rushed and hurried than laid back and carefree. He could have been compared to a dog tracking its game, but he was no dog.

Nor was he alone.

The sky above him seemed bare, with only the scattered clouds as its occupants. If one looked close enough, they would be able to see the slight shimmer of a winged form. If they stood close enough, they would feel the shift in the wind and perhaps hear the soft hum of a girl.

The Tepig gave a snort, lifting his snout to the air. He made a three sixty, snorting and squealing to gain the attention of the transparent form above him. He then took off towards a different end of the docks. The form followed eagerly after, letting out a soft giggle as the fire pig charged towards a girl, a boy, and another Pokemon.

The transparent form changed her--judging by the humming and giggling--attention, locking it on to a basket of berries that some vines from the sea were trying to lift. The form shimmered slightly, a gust of wind knocking over some barrels as it shot off towards the basket. It was neatly plucked away from the vines, and the form let out a giggle, darting away to hide behind one of the nearby ships. It wasn't like a floating basket wasn't an everyday thing. No one would follow it, would they?

The Tepig circled around the humans and Oshawott, not really having anything else to do while the basket was floating off, before darting off after it. He gave a snort, trotting behind the docked ship just as the form slowly gained color and details.

PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyMon May 21, 2012 9:11 pm

The charade was working perfectly. They were baffled and focused on Vi, not the pleasantly plucked basket. But to make sure, she repeated, "This is your--Snivy!"

Every muscle in her body tensed, silently cursing. She spun, corkscrewing to her feet to investigate why the Hell Fleur spoke. She knew waaaaaay better than to say anything. She had been expecting something like a Pokémon attacking her. Not the basket o' berries flying away. She recovered her true demeanor, barring her teeth and ordering, "Quick, Fleur, after it!" She let out a growl, stealth gone out the window. Vines retracted, she put the improptu fin to work, trailing after the double stolen basket.

Vi in turn flashed a michevious smile at the spikey-haired boy, striking a leg out quickly at his. Nothing like a dip in ocean to help persuade the competition away. Both feet back on the dock she rocketed off, barely missing a Tepig. Her boots thundered down the wooden path as she darted between the people loitering on it. One person had misfortune of walking right into her path. She pushed them down roughly and catapulted right over them.

A green rocket shot out of the blue waters, droplets flying off and getting set fire by the sun's rays. A graceful flip and a firm landing made quite the enterance. She snarled at the half transparent figure, vines extending in a threatening gesture. She didn't take her eyes off the creature or let up on her attitude, even when her Trainer slid to a stop at the other end of the dock. Vi, on the other hand, dropped her jaw.

"The Hell?"

Lux honestly had no clue what to do. What the heck was going on. First, someone talking to him. Second, the basket of fruit goes flying off magically. Thirdly, he was being attacked. He tried to jump back, up and out of his stupor, lost his balance, and nearly fell on his ass, but managed to catch himself. He shook his spiky dark hair, gaping at the girl who'd taken off after the basket.
"Osha!" Vorpal brought him back to the present with his angry shout. Lux looked down at him, frowning and pointing at the basket.
"What, you want to go after that?!"
The Oshawott fixed him with a hard stare. Lux noticed that the scene was beginning to attract weird looks.
"C'mon, then!" He tore off after the girl and her Snivy, Vorpal running at his heels, scalchop ready at the side.
"Shoulder!" Lux cried, stiffening his shoulder and hold his arm out, preparing to support the weight of his Pokemon. We weren't going for the whole damn basket!

PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyTue May 22, 2012 8:26 pm

A pale hand reached down, gently picking up one of the many colorful berries between her index finger and thumb. The berry was lifted into the air, examined for a short moment, before plopped into her mouth. The girl, whose form was growing less and less transparent, closed her eyes in bliss, allowing the juicy flavors to spread across her mouth. She plucked up another berry, this time placing it next to her. In a flash, it was gone, devoured by the fire pig.

Another berry was lifted into the air, hovering close to her open mouth, when a snarl interrupted her snack. The girl blinked, slowly closing her mouth as she glanced over to her side. There was an angry Snivy, a girl she assumed was the grass-type's partner, and a boy with his Oshawott on his shoulder. Oh, did they want some berries, too?

She tilted her head to the side, bright blue eyes wide. The two large dark orange dog-like ears on her head tilted to the side, though not by much. Her eyes traveled from the basket to the strangers as she thought. Having made her decision, she grasped the basket's handle once more, lifting it up and towards the others. "You want some~?" A smile, formed on her face, completely oblivious to the hostility generating from the grass type Pokemon.

She stole this, didn't she? Hehe~.

If there's one thing that Vi had learned on the street's was that generosity doesn't happen. Not to mention one doesn't trust some weird hybrid-like creature when if offered things. That's like accepting that candy from strangers. A gesture like this was usually reserved as bait for a trap. Well she wouldn't fall for it, would she?

Sadly, her Snivy had a desposition against that, especially when her pride was involved. "Sni!" she snarled, drawing her body into a striking posture.

Her Trainer clicked onto the movement, catching a swear in her breath. "Fleur!" she yelled, "Stop!" Her call fell on deaf ears, for the Grass-type lunged, now more for the girl than the basket. She shouted once more for her Pokémon, body already moving towards them.

Lux's face went from shock to numbed disbelief to blunt acceptance. Shrugging, he exchanged glances with Vorpal, ignoring the hot-headed individuals in front of them. Then he looked up at the strange hybrid creature and spoke.

"Uh... Yeah, actually. That'd be cool. Toss us some, I guess." There was no reason not to accept the berries. Food was food. It's not like this was a competition. Or so he'd thought... After this, he'd take Vorpal and head to the woods, away from this whole mess. He'd also been reminded of something; he was missing a Snivy figurine in his growing collection. He supposed he'd steal one later.

Her eyes locked on the Snivy, finally letting the hostility click in her mind. Without a moment of hesitation, she quickly bounced to her feet, bending swiftly down to tap the top of the Tepig's head. Her wings, one pair smaller than the other, spread out as she quickly took off into the air, taking the basket with her.

The Tepig, on the other hand, didn't follow. Instead, he planted himself where the girl had once been. He took in a deep breath, exhaling through his nose. Instead of air, a giant blast of what should have been a normal ember attack shot out at the oncoming Snivy. Who needed strong moves when you could just power up a weak one?

The girl landed near the boy--she should really learn names before she offers food next time. She stretched the arm holding the basket of berries out towards the boy. Her eyes kept glancing over towards her Tepig, making sure he didn't burn the docks down.

PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyWed May 23, 2012 10:28 am

Grabbing a couple berries and shoving them in his mouth (making sure to give some to Vorpal of course), Lux's eyes grew huge.

"Dude, what're you doin'?!" He shouted through his mouthful of berries; he appeared to be quite skilled at speaking with his mouth full. Vorpal showed equal surprise, raising his arms in shock. A berry almost tumbled out of the Pokemon's mouth. He took a couple of steps, contemplating whether or not to help this girl out.

Firstly, she wasn't exactly one who deserved help, in his opinion from what he'd seen. Secondly, she looked as if she could handle herself just fine. He knew that look in people. But that fire looked as if it could seriously damage that Snivy, possibly even beyond feinting.

"Alright, Vorpal. Get ready." Lux decided. Vorpal nodded, holding his scalchop out in front of him. Lux looked to the side, hoping to make eye contact with the strange girl. Could she be an alien? Could this be the work of a Pokemon? Was she a Pokemon.

"Thank you."

The Sea is Such a Troll Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyWed May 23, 2012 10:56 am

Wonderment seized Vi, stopping to watch as this creature took flight. It could fly, it could actually fly. She lifted her hand to her mouth in thought, mumbling into it, "Damn, I need to get a pair of those."

With this moment of distraction the chance of esculating the battle just got worse. "Snivy!" she hissed, the heat and pellets of fire knocking her back to the dock. She slid back a few feet, tapered arms protecting her raw belly. That Ember almost knocked it her out, it came close, but it didn't. Fighting the searing pain and ignoring the black smugs across her torso, she felt an energy coursing through her body. A green aura seeped from her body, cocooning her in her elemental strength. Her broad leaf on her tail glowed with the green energy, growing slightly, as did the yellow curls around her neck. Her slitted eyes locked onto the Tepig, taking this as a challenge that she couldn't back down from. She flipped onto her head, rotating on a vertical axis. Leaves rotating at an alarming rate spewed from her body, traveling up into a column. The leafy cyclone spun in a torrent, the top of it attracting attention over the ship's deck. With a war cry, Fleur slammed the Leaf Tornado down, its huge size threatening everyone from Tepig to her Trainer and all the way to the people at the end of the dock.

PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyWed May 23, 2012 11:10 am

"Ahhhh....!" Lux mumbled edgily as he watched the Leaf Tornado form. Wind whipped his hair forward, showing just how strong this attack was going to be.

"Shit.... Shitshitshitshitshitshit!" There wasn't really anywhere to run. He could dive into the water, maybe, but really he prefered to stay dry at this moment in time. He could have Vorpal do something... But was there anything that Vorpal could do to help? The water Pokemon was weak against this sort of attack, wasn't he?

Lux found himself walking backwards, still unsure of what to do. Shit! Think! Think! There has to be SOMEHWERE! He thought, panicking. He glanced at the ground, then at the deadly green vortex coming at him. Could it slice through the metal of the dock? Could Vorpal's scalchop slice through it? He doubted it. There was no where to run. No trees to climb.

"Water Gun that shit!" Lux cried, panicking. Screeching in surprise, Vorpal took his position at Lux's feet anyway, releasing something that looked like the strongest Water Gun and the weakest Hydro Pump. Would it at least prevent the attack from striking them? Lux took a crouching position, ready to protect Vorpal against the attack that he was sure would not be diverted from a mere Water Gun, no matter how strong it was trying to be.

Her eyes widened in amazement as the Snivy didn't faint. Normally, using her powers on her Tepig would result in an instant one hit knock out with a low level attack such as Ember. But this Snivy was something else! Oh, this was much more exciting that the laboratory ever was!

The girl watched as a powerful Leaf Tornado was summoned. Obviously the Ember knocked down the grass type Pokemon's health enough to make its ability activate. Regardless, it wouldn't do much to her partner. Blue eyes locked on the Water Gun from the Oshawott, completely absorbed into the battle.

The pig, on the other hand, was not so into the battle. The Tepig planted his rump on the dock, watching as the tornado of leaves shot out at him. A Water Gun wouldn't do too much, maybe make them slam into the poor, innocent ship. With a casual yawn, he allowed whatever made it past the Water Gun to hit him. He winced as some of the leaves sliced at his skin, but the damage was half what it would have done due to his type advantage.

Vi hit the deck like her legs gave out as the Leaf Tornado came down, shooting her arms up to shield her face. There was a lot less pain than she thought there would be, so she bravely lowered her defense. A powerful Water Gun was warping the twister, bowing it out sideways. Most of the damage was to the ship’s paint, but at least there weren’t any chopped up bodies, right?

The spinning Pokémon slowed down her momentum, the green glow fading away as quickly as it came. Fleur was crouched, one slender arm holding the rest of the weight her legs couldn’t. She was glaring at her enemy who so casually brushed off her attack. “Sni—Vy!” What began as an angry growl spiked at the end with pain. Her ash-speckled body dropped onto the wood, void of the energy left to fight. It was pure tenacity and pride that had kept the loss of consciousness at bay.

She muttered another swear, hurrying over to her fainted Snivy. She scooped the fainted Grass-type up, giving her a quick look over for any serious injuries. Satisfied with finding none, she turned back towards the two people—or, would that be one and half?—and sheepishly said, “Uh, sorry and thanks.”

"Ouch!" Lux hissed, a leaf slicing his cheek at the last second. Grumbling, he looked up, and was amazed at the sight. The Water Gun had actually done something. Vorpal was standing, breathing hard, tiny chest heaving with each huge post-panic breath. Lux smiled proudly when he noticed that Vorpal was still clutching his scalchop in one paw, holding it out like the little boss he was.

"Nice, buddy." He grinned. Vorpal nodded, placing the scalchop back on his stomach.

Wincing, Lux decided to look around. To his surprise, no one was there to scold them. Then again, that Snivy's Leaf Tornado wasn't exactly something people wanted to jump into. Lux got to his feet, wiping the blood off his cheek, then wishing he hadn't as it was now on his hand. He looked from person, to Pokemon, to personPokemon. Perhaps they should get out of here. Just run. Really fast.

"So, uh. 'Sup, guys?"

The Sea is Such a Troll Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyFri Jun 01, 2012 11:34 pm

The winged girl plopped another berry into her mouth, munching happily on it as she watched the scene before her. She really should be more concerned for the Pokemon present, but it wasn't like it would die... Would it? No, no. It couldn't. The only Pokemon she had ever seen die was while in... No, she wouldn't think of that. Too many unwanted memories...

She blinked, tilting her head to the side as the girl apologized. She gave a smile and held out the basket of berries. "Take some! They might just heal your friend there." Some berries did have healing properties, so... Why not give away more of her stolen berries? The owner to them hasn't come to claim them, so why not spread the joy of food? Blue eyes flicked over to the Tepig just kind of sitting there. She clicked her tongue, and the Pokemon's head snapped towards her. The fire pig got up from his spot and trotted over to the winged girl.

Her attention moved on to the boy. Confusion formed on her face at his choice in wording. They certainly were not 'guys', and... The sky was up. It was plain as day! Wait, it was day. Eheh...

Choosing not to answer, she busied herself with listening to the world around them. Her ears twitched, swiveling back and forth before perking. She could hear oncoming footsteps, a lot of them, but... Oh, yes, they were coming towards them! "Do you two have any friends who would know you were here?" She turned her head to look behind them, eyes locked on the empty space as the footsteps grew louder.

Vi nodded her thanks to the girl. Even if she didn’t know what she was there’s no reason to be wary of someone who seems to be nice. So far the only rude one here was the Pokémon unconscious in her arms. Fleur could be quiet the handful sometimes. She snagged two of the blue berries, gently feeding it to the Snivy. She sluggishly chewed it as the might-as-well-be victor of their battle bounded back to his owner. The healing ability gradually dissipated the burnt marks and roused her.

The casual greeting almost threw her off. She shifted her weight, placing a hand on her hip. Flashing a smile at the spiky-haired boy, she answered, “Oh, you know, nothing unusual.” There was a tension building in the air surrounding them. Be it from whichever of the things she didn’t care. All she knew was that she had this nagging feeling that they needed to bail. And soon.

Just then a bland truck pulled to a stop by the docks. Instantly, a group of people piled out of the back, looking like they meant business. One of them gave orders, sending the faction rushing towards their quarry.

“Um, I don’t know about him,” she motioned to the blue-haired boy, “But not me. My ‘friends’ usually bring trouble.” The other berry was swiped from her fingers, Fleur devouring it with quiet irritation. A portion of her health restored, she hopped down from Vi’s arms. She rolled a shoulder, hearing the footsteps a few moments before her Trainer. “Yeah, that sounds like trouble,” she sighed, just before the problem broke out.

“Get the target!” the leader commanded, jabbing an accusing finger at the mystery girl. The entire entourage was dressed in matching uniforms. A uniform was meant to instill the fear of organization and numbers. That meant it was the time to fight fire with fire.

The blonde girl scowled, charging ahead and placing herself in the middle. “Go!” she yelled, then turned her attention back to the newfound enemy. She knew a thing or two about situations about this. She gestured irately to them. “Fleur, Flash!”

“Sni!” she cried, launching herself forward. A brilliant light sparked to life between her tapered hands and blinded those who saw. With a haughty sniff, she turned her back to the blinded enemies. Her Trainer was already on the move, forcibly leading her sudden allies towards the beach. The Grass-type darted after the band, but stayed ready to take on any pursuers. One should always know when to make a tactical retreat.

The girl's comment spawned from him a grin. Lux crossed his arms, not exactly sure how to reply.

"Osha?" He heard Vorpal whisper in a confused tone. Lux looked down, cocking his head and raising an eyebrow.

"'Sup?" He said. Vorpal smacked the ground with a foot and pointed. Lux shook his head, not sure that he understood. Vorpal's eyes, large and black, were definitely indicating just how much he hated the language barrier right now. Just take that language barrier. And hose it down. Yeah.

Then Vorpal rolled his eyes and bat at the air twice. "O-sha!" He squeaked, mimicking the sound of a car horn.

"OH." Lux cried, but today seemed to be a day of being driven, with no control over anything, because as soon as the cops (wait, were those cops?) got there, the girl had already taken action. Sounds, voices, colors, all whirling in a confusing vortex. Everyone seemed to understand what was happening except for him, and then it occured to him that he might've just stepped into something that was really, really big.

"Buckle up, Vorpal!"

Her eyes widened as the painfully familiar scent grew stronger and stronger. She shrunk back, staring at the black truck as its doors opened, letting out multiple Plasma grunts. She gulped, letting out a slight whimper. She needed to run and hide. Her invisibility powers only worked for so long because the grunts were able to find her position on radar. Though... These other people would get imprisoned for just knowing her.

Well, they were all apparently running. Using the Snivy's flash to her advantage, she scooped up her Tepig, taking to the air. The flash wouldn't keep the grunts blind forever, so they needed to get out of there, fast. As she passed over the two humans and their Pokemon, she quickly reached down, tapping them on the head. Giving them some of her 'luck' would most likely quicken their speed. It didn't really matter the result. The luck would make it almost impossible for the grunts to capture them.

"This way!" Jayden shot over the nearby boat and over the next ones on the other docks.

"Oh, what the hell." He muttered.

Lux stopped, holding his arms out in defeated confusion. Today was just one of those days where nothing made sense. Today was one of those days where no one had control. Today was one of those days where you basically...

Tap.

"What?" He mumbled, but before another thought could cross his mind... Power. Life. Jump start. Fire, in his veins, heart, beating fast. Eyesight, becoming... Excellent. Everything. Become just fantastic. Today was one of those days where you basically...

Run.

"Vorpal!" Lux scooped up the Pokemon with a quick swing of his arm. Ah, look at that. So simple. Why wasn't everything this easy? Running. Speeding off into the woods. Heart racing. Wind through hair. Magnificent. Absolutely brilliant. Everything, his whole body, functioning faster than it had ever had before. Everything, easier, movement, so swift. No obstacle could possibly get in his way. Run.

The Sea is Such a Troll Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyMon Jun 11, 2012 2:29 am

Adrenaline rushes had nothing on this.  Energy flowed into her cells, unnaturally sending them into fast forward.  The mitochondria spat out ATP like it was nothing.  Rapidly made RNA sled into ribosomes, producing protein molecules at an abnormal rate.  Her muscles contracted with crazy momentum, hurtling he forward at an astonishing speed.  Her feet barely touched the wooden planks as she tore down the dock.  Her enhanced sight locked onto the flying girl, her sensitive ears easily catching her words.  Go over the ships?  She didn't think she could make it.  She knew she could.

She briefly squatted mid-run, pushing down with a vehement force.  Her strengthened muscles launched her over the side of the boat and softened the impact of hitting the metal deck.  She hardly had looked up when she catapulted ahead again.  Her foot tapped the other side, propelling he swiftly over to the other boat.  She bounced off the metal mast and onto the next ship.  He hopped from vessel to vessel with ease, chasing after the winged girl.

Speaking of chasing. . .Poor Fleur was left in Vi's dust, gaping as the human took off with amazing speed.  Both of the humans did, the boy taking his Oshawott with him.  The odd human and her Pokémon were nowhere to be seen anymore, either.  "Snivy!" she cried crossly, pursuing the same people who left her.

Her wings pushed her through the air, using her... unnatural luck to her aid her with more speed. She glanced back every now and again, flinching when the grunts started to gain on them from the vehicle. There was no way she was going back there! Jayden headed straight into the town weaving through the random citizens who dropped their supplies as she zipped past. She headed towards the more heavily populated part of the town, hoping that the grunts would at least go on foot instead of plow through a bunch of citizens.

"Tep!"

Blue eyes glanced down at her Pokemon, looking back up to follow his gaze. The woods! That would be the perfect place to hide! The Victini made a beeline for the entrance to the woods, willing up some of her powers to cloak her in invisibility. Though she wasn't able to make the Tepig invisible, so there were quite a few more stares as the fire type flew through the air.

She glanced back once more before dashing into the forest, heading deeper and deeper until she deemed it safe. Her speed slowed down to the point where she was just hovering, her form gaining color and details like it had after she had... Borrowed that basket of berries. Jayden let her feet touch the ground once more, wings flexing before folding up against her back.

After having hopped rivers, logs, entire trees themselves (although to be fair, they weren't that high), giant rocks, and ripping through thick foliage, Lux somehow found himself in a tree. He relaxed for a bit, grinning to himself, feeling at the top of the world.

"Osha..." Vorpal mumbled, knocking the top of Lux's head with his scalchop.

"What!" Lux laughed, looking to the side to see the Oshawott's tool pointing down toward the ground. Following it with his eyes, Lux looked back to the Pokemon on his shoulder. "Huh?"

"Osha!" Vorpal cried, gesturing more vehemently. Looking back down again, Lux realized that his vision had been enhanced, so he'd actually misjudged the height. In all reality, he was a good sixty feet up, and to top it all off, his vision was fading back to normal.

"Oh, crap..."

The Sea is Such a Troll Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Sea is Such a Troll   The Sea is Such a Troll EmptyFri Jun 29, 2012 2:22 am

Flurries of sand flew back as the running girl sprinted down the beach. To one side was the ocean, the other the forest, and ahead was the nearing end of the sandy strech. Her eyes flickered to the trees, something moving just as quickly as her. Details became sharpened in an instant and she could easily make out the blue-haired boy with his Oshawott dashing through the foliage. Like a baseball pro, she dropped into a A-form slide. She hardly felt the granules scraping her between her determination and the energy flowing through her veins. She let momentum carry her back to her feet, keeping an arm held out to the side. An irritated cry and something green shot out at her. The vine wrapped around her wrist and retracted backwards. Fleur was catapulted onto her Trainer's shoulders, her tapered arms latching on in a death grip when Vi shot into the green. She never felt more lucid than when she moved through the woods like a ninja. It was exilerating. Someone else thought this was exilerating, too.

"They're getting away!" a man shouted.

"Way to point that out, Capt'n." Several uniformed members turned around, shocked at the sneering voice behind them. The almost six foot person was shrouded in a black jacket, the hood pulled over his eyes. A thick blue and pink tail swayed leisurely, marking this mystery man as not entirely human. He bared his sharp teeth in a devious smile, chuckling to himself. He tilted his head up, showing his piercing red and black gaze. "I do love it when they run," he snickered. With no warning he charged past the group, not stopping to throw his jacket onto one their heads. He launched an easy five feet into the air, six tendrils snapping out. The slender black wings beat as one, not only keeping him airborne but also sending him soaring over the treetops. The forest was a blur yet his hunter's eyes could make sense of the things below him. Such as a spot of blue transversing the land with unnatural speed and skill. The younger boy scaled a tree, occupying on a branch a good ways off the ground. The boy's face sunk as he cast his eyes to the far away ground. His friend's gift must have been wearing off. Perfect. He swooped down, perching on branch in front of his.

Kane grinned, "S'up?"
