HISTORY: Violette and her mother barely scraped by in the tumultuous city life of Castelia. Her mother worked in an office during the day and a “gentleman’s club” during the night just to make end’s meet. This led to not the best upbringing. She had to scrounge around for things to help her mom out with the bills and food. It didn’t take long for innocent things like dumpster diving to turn into pick pocketing and conning. At eleven she was breaking and entering and thirteen she delved into hacking for all her security needs. A year later her mother was found dead in a building down by the port. On her own she had to use her skills to survive. Even though she was fully capable of doing this she became unhealthily thin and extremely sleep deprived. Most of her time was spent investigating her mother’s murder. When she found out it was the CEO of the company her mother worked for she struck with a vengeance. The next day all his bank accounts were wiped clean and an arsonist had set fire to his penthouse. He also believed his pet Snivy had perished in the fire, although there’s a different side to the story. She kidnapped (saved) the Pokémon and released it on her way out of the city. She had to escape from Castelia so she headed across the Skyarrow Bridge, looking back only once to see the column of smoke rising from the top floor of one of the skyscrapers. She made it halfway through Pinwheel Forest before collapsing. When she came to a Snivy was glaring down at her. Apparently the now homeless Snivy felt like Violette owed her something and had followed her stubbornly. She was ticked off enough that she dragged the human to the Nacrene Pokémon Center so she’d survive long enough to repay her. Thus began their beautiful partnership in the illegal. From Pinwheel Forest to Nuvema Town she is a wanted thief, only known by her calling card, the Fleur-de-lis.
